About Me

hey, nice to meet you

I’m just a girl in this world…

Traveling is Freedom

My first travel experiences were with my parents and I always loved seeing new things, tasting new foods and hearing new languages. Before I knew it, I started traveling without my parents. The first trip was a road trip to Slovenia and soon after, I began to plan bigger trips like an Interrail through Europe, volunteering and going on a Safari in Kenya, backpacking Thailand, solo-tripping Italy and many more…stay tuned! As you can see, I don’t follow a constant travel style, nor destination. Every trip is unique in its own way.

I’m currently studying in Bern to become a middle school teacher, far from the home I grew up in. To finance my travels, I work as a waitress and occasionally cover for other teachers. I also make sure to leave gaps in my schedule to travel or visit people I’ve met during my travel around the world.

So, you may be asking yourself, what is expecting you on my blog: The main reason is that I don’t want my stories to be untold. Our planet is huge and every corner is completely different from the next one. I want to inspire you to explore, help you plan your next adventure, or simply let you dream about traveling, even when you can’t be on the road yourself.

You might be curious about the name. “breathaweay” is a word blended from three words: breathe, awe and away. It represents a journey or getaway that combines breathtaking beauty, awe-inspiring moments, and the feeling of being carried away.
